A small update on the research focus going forward next year. I have spent the last two years investigating and reverse engineering malware threats. It has been incredibly rewarding and I have enjoyed my late nights banging away in front of my favorite disassembler with a side of coffee on hand. The technical writeups and YARA detection signatures I provide has shown up in major cybersecurity communities such as: VirusTotal, Malpedia, X and on sites like BleepingComputer.com.

Going forward next year, new technical writeups and examples will be posted to highlight vulnerability research in the Linux space. The new vulnerability research will compliment the malware research by highlighting the symbiotic relationship the two research paths have.

Thank you to the 30,000 unique visitors in the last year and a half. I am looking forward to this shift in research focus and I can’t wait to share with the community some of the research being done.
